Eldoret

T
he new school has been in use for a term now and is working well. The provision of electricity to the site has transformed teaching and helped to make this a thoroughly modern and effective place of learning. Two permanent dormitories have been built and the original huts, vacated by the classes, have been insulated and lined to provide further sleeping accommodation. A toilet and shower block is built and will be ready for use next term There were 69 pupils in school at the end of this term, and taking in the children from the camp will bring numbers up to the expected 100 very quickly.

LODWAR

I
t was very unfortunate that the 20 children who had been moved from Lodwar to Eldoret and were all doing so well in school and with their foster families, had to return to the orphanage because their foster homes fell apart in the troubles. The small children in red jumpers who appear on the web site are part of this group. All now three years older, they were able to understand the reasons for the move, and they have been promised an early return to Eldoret when the boarding school is built.
