ccasional fund rising events at the church attended by Margaret, Sandra and their interested and supportive friends send some funds to help feed the children.
Sandra realises that if people on her Christmas card list would each agree to give £1 a week to this cause, the burden could be lifted from the pastor's shoulders. This idea will not go away, so she writes to everyone on her list, enclosing a description of the orphanage and outlining the need. (Newsletter 1) The response is excellent, the £1 a week fund is begun.
